Many thanks to those of you who did take the time to go to Great Harvest Bread Company and vote for Acadiana Humane Society! We came in second place with a total of 80 votes. L.A.R.C. won the fundraiser event by getting the most votes, a total of 116, which is 36 more votes then AHS. 

Locals, please feel free to go out and support L.A.R.C on Sunday, March 29th for the fundraiser.  Store hours on that day will be 10am-4pm (unless they sell out!).  They'll be baking breads and cookies.

For Your Fundraising Efforts during July and August 2008!

Michelle, one of the owners of the Great Harvest Bread Company in Lafayette, Louisiana presents Sue with a donation check for the Acadiana Humane Society. In the months of July and August, they sold all natural home baked dog bones in their Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser. All money raised was donated to Acadiana Humane Society on September 16, 2008.

AHS / Cat Ranch would like to take this opportunity to salute Ms. Blue Rolfes of KLFY-10 tv station in Lafayette, Louisiana.

An ardent animal lover herself, Blue has generously and graciously given tv air time to the local animal rescue groups as well as providing very useful information, breaking news and pet tips on "Blue's Pet Page" at the KLFY-10 website.

On behalf of all the dogs, cats, and guinea pigs as well as the two legged critters who volunteer for AHS/ CR, we say THANK YOU, Blue!!

Since the AHS torch has been passed to Sue Rabeaux, we would like to take this time to acknowledge the dedication and efforts that Barbara and Peter Borneman have put forth as the heart and soul of AHS these past few years.
