There are animals like Smoke & Abby, Willie, Julius, Camillo and Fred. They are not on the lucky side of life.  What they all have in common is that they are so called ‘special needs’ animals.  This means they have some kind of health problems e.g. Abby & Smoke are positive for the Feline Leukemia virus, Camillo and Fred are FIV+, Willie has a heart condition, and Julius has diabetes

Smoke and Abby have thrived on a good diet and an occasional regime of antibiotics. Camillo’s preferred spot is on your lap.  Willie, Julius, and Fred have their own unique personality traits that have endeared them to their respective foster folks – just like any normal feline companion.  We acknowledge that with their health problems, we do not know what the life expectancy would be for our special friends – but – we believe that every animal should be given every chance at a permanent, loving home where they can live out the rest of their lives in as normal of an environment as possible.

Unfortunately, reality can be especially harsh, for too often, these kind of health problems make it almost impossible for our special needs friends to realize that dream.  We have yet to find that right forever home for each of these special ones. 

 We’re hoping to fly them from Houston to Las Vegas and drive the rest of the way [app. 3.5 hours] to Kanab.  We are needing funds for flight tickets for 6 cats and 1 caretaker, car rental and hotel accommodations.  Smoke, Abby, Camillo, Fred, Willie, and Julius will be eternally grateful if you can find it in your hearts to  help us  bring them to that wonderful place.  You can drop off your donations by our table at PetSmart on adoption days, mail to us, or go to our website and use the paypal button.  Thank you so much!
